What is a Personal Chef?
A personal chef is someone who cooks for you on a regular or occasional basis. Not to be confused with a private chef, a personal chef comes into your home on a pre-arranged day and cooks as many meals as you would like at one time. Any meals that won’t be consumed right away get refrigerated or frozen for later use. Unlike a private chef a personal chef works for several clients at a time and operates his or her own business.

Hiring a personal chef is surprisingly affordable. The cost includes the time it takes to plan the meals, the cost of the groceries, shopping, cooking and clean up. Because the ingredients are purchased the same day the meals are prepared, the food tends to be fresher and healthier making it better for you than restaurant fare or take out. What could be more relaxing than coming home to a delicious meal prepared by someone other than yourself? All you have to do is follow the typed re-heating instructions, then sit back and enjoy your family over a delicious meal.

How Does the Service Work?
First, we will meet for an initial consultation. This will help to determine which foods you enjoy and any health or dietary concerns that may need to be addressed. We will review menu choices and if you would like you can provide me with some of your favorite recipes. Next, we will decide on a start up date and the number of meals you would like prepared. Prior to your cheffing day I will determine your menu. On your cheffing day I will go to the grocery store, buy the necessary items and come to your home to cook. I will bring everything I need, from the groceries to the pots and pans. Every meal gets labeled and then refrigerated or frozen. Each entree has clear re-heating instructions making the evening’s meal a snap. You may even find you will have time left over in your busy week to read a good book or go to a movie.
